Project Co-ordinator (M&A and Transaction Delivery)

Role Overview

You are the operating spine of live M&A mandates — you own the plan, the calendar, the data room, the checklist and the follow-up, so the deal team can focus on judgement calls instead of chasing status.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end project plan for each live M&A mandate, including workstreams, owners, dependencies, milestones, and critical path.
• Maintain the master deal calendar, tracking diligence windows, management presentations, bid deadlines, signing, and closing dates.
• Run the weekly deal cadence, preparing agendas, status packs, decisions logs, action trackers, and ensuring relentless follow-up.
• Set up and administer virtual data rooms, managing structure, permissions, watermarking, and access audit trails.
• Own the information request list, consolidating requests, chasing targets for responses, and tracking completeness.
• Maintain the Q&A log between buy-side and sell-side, ensuring all questions are answered and recorded.
• Act as a single point of co-ordination across internal teams, clients, and external advisors (lawyers, auditors, valuers, bankers, regulators).
• Schedule and run management meetings, site visits, and expert calls, circulating minutes with clear owners and dates.
• Maintain the closing checklist and condition-precedent tracker through to completion.
• Support handover into post-merger integration, including Day 1 readiness, integration workstream setup, and synergy tracker initiation.
• Keep deal files audit-ready and compliant with confidentiality protocols throughout the deal lifecycle.

Requirements & Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in project management, PMO, transaction support, deal advisory operations, or a co-ordination role within professional services, consulting, or investment banking. Relevant certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, or CAPM are a plus.
