Role Overview
Ashtayah Labs is an AI-powered software product and engineering solutions lab. This role is for an AI Engineering Intern who will work across full-stack development and applied AI use cases, building real-world product features from frontend to backend systems and AI integrations. The intern will contribute to live products, design scalable APIs, leverage AI coding assistants, and collaborate on product decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and ship end-to-end product features (frontend + backend)
- Integrate AI capabilities (LLMs, APIs, simple ML workflows) into products
- Design and develop scalable APIs and services
- Use AI coding assistants (ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to improve speed and quality
- Work with cloud infrastructure
- Debug, optimize, and improve system performance
- Collaborate on product decisions, not just implementation
Requirements & Qualifications
Strong fundamentals in JavaScript and/or Python, familiarity with frontend (React/HTML/CSS) and backend (APIs, REST, server-side logic), basic understanding of AI/ML concepts (LLMs, embeddings, APIs) and databases (SQL/NoSQL), experience with Git and version control.
